While these lamps are made to order, the showroom’s Instant Gratification program was introduced in response to the “want-it-now”
spirit of the times. The program features a large selection of stocked items with much shorter lead times. One of these items is the Remy
Mirror, introduced a few years ago in gold leaf: “We had so many requests for it in warm silver leaf that we decided to offer it on our Instant
Gratification program in this finish as well. Artisans who are skilled in this process execute both the warm silver finish and the gold leaf
finish on the mirrors,” Showers tells us.
In keeping with the understated yet sophisticated styling for which Jan Showers is known, we were drawn to the collection’s white wing
chair in satin French ivory with a contrasting stripe. “We created The Waverly Wing Chair with an unusual silhouette. I like the whimsical
use of upholstery on this particular one, but it can be done in a solid as well for a more substantial look.” Jan Showers notes: “By the way, this
